Herb Vogel, famed art collector, passed away this week at age 89. Herb and his wife Dorothy shared a passion for art and believed anyone could collect original artworks - and that, they certainly did. They spent decades in NYC amassing modern art and donated over 4,000 pieces from their collection to the National Gallery of Art in the 90s - mainly because their one-bedroom apartment couldn't handle any more. A documentary, called Herb & Dorothy, based on their collection and experience is on netflix instant que. If you appreciate art and the art community then I highly recommend you see it.
