We went to Luray Caverns this weekend with the 'rents and had a great time exploring the crazy rock formations. Many points on the tour felt like I walked into a scene from the Gooney's. We passed a wishing well, a piano, and there was even talk of human bones. Chester Copperpot? No. Booby traps? maybe.
I chose "Wild" as my next book to read this summer because it is the first selection from Oprah's new book club - book club 2.0. I'm a nerd for book clubs so it wasn't a hard decision to join the bandwagon. I will say I enjoy the book quite a bit and look forward to reading the rest. Books!
In other weekend news, we found wonderful tenants for our Baltimore house. It was a productive couple days. Hope you enjoyed yourselves,
In Chiang Mai, Thailand there is a multi-acre elephant sanctuary. We spent the day helping feed and bath the elephants. Even the dogs loved a splash in the river. Did you know mud works as sunscreen for their leathery skin? Right after we cleaned them, they immediately rolled in a mud pit. (You can see a muddy elephant -with the mud pit in the background -in picture one)
